The Challenge /
Food Insecurity and Environmental Degradation
The South Florida Permaculture Resource Center (SFPRC) was created to address the following challenges:
-
Food Insecurity: Limited access to fresh, nutritious food affects health and well-being.
-
Environmental Degradation: Unsustainable practices lead to ecosystem damage and loss of biodiversity.
-
Lack of Ecological Literacy: Many individuals lack knowledge about sustainable living and environmental stewardship.
-
Community Disempowerment: Without the tools and knowledge, communities struggle to achieve self-sufficiency and resilience.
